This completes the RAM portfolio, which made up one-half of Bonus Number 130, posted on June 8. This illustrator’s work is unforgettable; we would have used more of it in the magazines if he had submitted more. I suspect that RAM, who never came to my office and whose name I don’t recall, was a full-time commercial artist for an ad agency or similar Madison Avenue business. For that reason, his erotic sideline would have required camouflage. It’s obvious that his work is greately influenced by Tom of Finland.
Today I’ve combined his remaining illusrations with those of three other artists, each one of whom appeared only once in our magazines: Larry Young, Hans-Gert Mehrtens, and K. Seltzer.
