This cute little French item arrived too late — or too early — for Gay Pride 1984, so we ran it in the February 1985 issue of Playguy. Here it is at last at the appropriate time of year.
Even on festive occasions, however, there’s a fly in the ointment. The right-wing “Monsieur Le Pen” referred to below is still kicking at 95, though he passed the torch some years ago to his equally heinous daughter, Marine Le Pen — one might call her the French Marjorie Taylor Greene except that she isn’t quite as stupid as that Georgia redneck.
This year, as rabid right wingers surge forward in the United States and many other countries, let’s recall the words of that most rousing of national anthems, La Marseillaise:
“Tyranny has raised its bloody flag against us —
Do you hear its vicious roar?
But our day of glory has arrived!
To arms! Citizens, to arms!
Let their filthy blood flow like water in our fields!”
(translated by SS, while envisioning a country cleansed of Republicans)
LET US REMEMBER: 54 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH…STONEWALL!
